Downtown Decorating

Our Community Connection committee reached out to the Pewaukee High School Insight Program to see if their Serving Others group would be interested in decorating the lakefront for the holidays. We met with the students, listened to their ideas and then agreed on a plan where they would contact the lakefront businesses, make and place the decoration downtown. Pewaukee Lake Elementary school students also helped with the decorating by working with the high school students on painting large ornaments that are hanging in the businesses windows.

The Serving Others students spent a morning at Schulte’s Greenhouse where they created cute gnomes made out of greenery supplied by Schulte’s.  The gnomes were placed downtown along with ribbons to decorate the pillars at the beach. Many thanks to the teachers and students who worked so hard on this project.  Huge thanks to Summit Credit Union for sponsoring this project and for the greens donation and help from Schulte’s Greenhouse.
