Pewaukee COVID-19 Business Recovery

We’ve compiled the most meaningful resources to inform and guide Pewaukee businesses and workplaces to reopen and recover from the Safer At Home restrictions implemented to flatten the curve during COVID-19. Please check back for updated and additional links.

  • Create an action plan detailing what must be done before you can reopen, such as:
    1. print and make available County and Pewaukee authorization to be open
    2. COVID-19 remains present. What are your processes for providing a safe environment?
    3. establish and post a COVID-19 policy. (will you require masks on customers?)
    4. hire employees (are you conducting COVID testing?)
    5. purchase inventory
    6. consult with legal regarding liability of COVID spread within your space
  • Provide a safe environment for employees and customers, such as:
    1. use guidance from the CDC and WEDC and appropriate industry associations
    2. consider customer flow for social distancing within your space
    3. what surfaces will a customer be exposed to (POS, pens, etc)
    4. consider social distancing and hygiene in the work environment
    5. be sensitive to customer concerns
  • Communicate a “Safe For You, Safe For Your Family” message to assure customers you have their safety and health in mind when in your space:
    1. let the world know you’re open, when you’re open, any reduced products or services, and any conditions placed on customers (masks for example) through signage, social media, and other appropriate marketing
    2. use social media to earn reviews and comments to gain a reputation for being open and safe
